Jeg bestemte forleden et 16øres mærke tryk 3 pos. 59 med en ovalfejl – hak i ovalllinjen mellem ”A” og ”N” i ”DANMARK”, som jeg ikke har set før. Ved et kig på de skannede helark samt med brug af Bo Sørensens fremragende TOFark mener jeg at have genfundet ovalfejlen i flere af de tidlige tryk: 16ø1 pos. 63, 16ø3 pos. 59, 16ø5 pos. 21, 16ø6 pos. 14, som vist nedenfor.
16ø tryk 2 og 4 kendes ikke i helark, og ovalfejlen genfindes ikke på den skannede 45-blok fra tryk 4 (position 1-40 samt 46-50). Selvom ovallinjerne varierer en hel del, kan der peges på mindre fremtrædende kendetegn: dels en farveløs plet under ”I” i ”FRIM.” i tryk 3 og 5, dels en farveudfyldning mellem ovalbåndet og ovallinjen i vest.
Det er næppe en tilfældighed, at denne farveplet minder om 16ø OF 1.89. Selvom OF 1.89 ikke har hakket mellem ”A” og ”N” i 16ø6, mener jeg der ses spor af dette hak på 16ø9 som vist nedenfor (tryk 7 og 8 kendes ikke i helark).
Jeg vil overlade det til 16øres-nørderne at afgøre, om der er tale om OF 1.89 i de tidlige tryk, en helt ny ovalfejl, eller blot tilfældigheder.

Your suggestion that these all represent the same Kliché is a good one. I believe these are all OF.1.89 and demonstrate the evolution of these flaws over time.
I have some used stamps with the same flaws:
The notch between A and N is very obvious in Printing 3. The brown spot to the left and the white spot under the I are also clearly evident: These are also clearly evident in Printing 5: In Printing 7, the notch is barely visible while the brown spot is quite obvious as are the other features of OF.1.89. The white spot under the I is gone. In printing 8, the notch is barely visible while the brown spot is quite obvious: In printing 10, the notch between A and N is again detectable while the brown spot is gone In printing 11, the notch between A and N is once again visible:
